Hi
My husband has cradle cap on his head and despite using good shampoos, it is not clearing up.
He has dementia and the itch on his scalp seems to really irritate him.
I know at this time I could go to the doctor, but could anyone recommend any over the counter shampoos at the Pharmacist that I could try first or should I go to the doctor to get prescribed medication shampoo.

Cradle Cap might be an allergic reaction, but what is the trigger? To find out change habits referring to foods (animal fats, olive oil fried food) and drinks (no tap water, spirits). Shampoos and other "miracle potions" will help - the seller.

Hi,
I'm not trying to worry you but I have ongoing skin cancer which is non melanoma ( basal and squamous cell carcinoma) and what you describe is classic of basal cell carcinoma symptoms. Itchy scab that falls off but comes back again.
Also scalps are constantly exposed to the sun. I'd advise you take him to the doctor to confirm this rather than assume.
Basal cell carcinomas are cut out and normally negative, all mine have been so far and have 7 scars to prove.
Good luck and I'm sure he will be sorted quickly.

Hi there, in the height of summer I get a mild version and use the shampoo in the picture attached every other wash and it works. Available via your Farmacia.

Hi. Another very good product is Selsun. But can be difficult to get hold of. My last bottle came from Australia when it was unavailable in the UK for a while.
