Hello, my husband and I have lived in Pilar de la horadada for seven years.  We are both seventy. Although like many people our age we are still completely independent we now find ourselves classed as vulnerable. 😀. We love our life here although missing being able to travel in the current state of affairs.  We are looking forward to meeting people on this forum, although in the virtual world.

Hi,

Pilar de la horadada is a lovely town, I expect you are currently missing strolling around its many shops and restaurants with its usual lively atmosphere. We live 7km from you in the village of Pina de campoverde but visited your town frequently.

Yesterday police had road blocks stopping residents from campoverde making unnecessary to trips Pilar and recommending shopping was done here in the village.

We has already opted to shop locally but many people prefer the additional variety Pliar offers.

Keep safe

Best wishes

Vivienne

Hi, I live in Campoverde and usually work in Pilar in Apah, the animal charity shop. It is difficult being in lockdown, unable to do the things I took for granted on a daily basis. The only pleasure I have at the moment is walking my dog ! I am lucky that I have my husband with me and feel sorry for all the people going thru this alone ( tho I realise that some relish their solitude). We are both healthy so far and are abiding by the rules. Social media has turned out to be a lifesaver for so many people and it's nice to see comments from people from all over the world. Do you have a view to look at? I'm not talking mountains but roads and other houses? I have a garden surrounded by high walls but can go to my upstairs balcony and see far and wide, when the sun is out that is! I am glad you have each other and are healthy. Can't wait for all this to be over but I think it's going to be a long while before things are back to normal. Stay safe and well x

Thanks for your reply.  I have visited your shop many times.  I am the Welsh woman.

We actually live in a flat and do have a view of the streets around and rooftops.  It’s quite strange that I am actually sleeping better than for about thirty years as there is no noise at night.  Each evening at 8 we join in with neighbours on balconies and in windows to applaud our essential staff including health workers followed by music to clap and dance to. I truly feel part of a community now.

Stay safe.

I arrived in Pillar dela horadada on the 10th March and can't wait for it to be back to normal. Was really looking forward to running down the front. Not now, house bound:(
