Went to hand our documents in at Comisaria in Elche, including fotos, to start the process for TIE.

A word of advice, I was asked when the foto was taken, bearing in mind I hadn’t changed. I told the guy it was December. He said it was supposed to up to date. After a few moments he decided to accept it.

So just a warning for anyone going to get TIE, take heed! Am sure it isn’t all the time and depends who or where. Got to say though all the guys at Elche where great.

He also told me a lot of people are taking driving licence fotos which are too big. I know. Lot of people know this but it’s still happening so remember to have specific TIE fotos done

Hi Poppy Ryder,

Many thanks for the reminder.  A friend of mine took a photo she liked of herself to her application appointment in Alicante.  The agent asked if she always wore glasses and when she said "Yes", he sent her away to get a new photo, as she wasn't wearing them in the photo she'd taken.

The required size is in my guide for Residency to TIE exchange (EX-23): 32mm x 26mm.

Kind regards,

Kim

I wasn’t asked that but could honestly have said no! I wasn’t wearing glasses on the foto but did have them on that day. I think some ask somethings and som ask others. I guess anyone should think before they answer. Play for a bit of time like saying perdon or even no entiendo podrias repitirlo
