Is there anyone interested in creating a new walking group centred around Pinar de Campoverde? Walks of around  10-15 kms and varying levels of difficulty, local or up to perhaps a 30 minute drive away. Frequency could be weekly or monthly depending on interest. If you would like to meet over a coffee to discuss, please contact me and suggest when best for you.

Hi Grahame.  Thanks for your message.  Yes I know the U3A group and walk with them once a month.  However, they are not local people and I believe there are a lot of local folk who would walk more if there was a closer option for them.  Will keep you posted on progress.  B.x

Hi again.  I have spoken to one of the members of Adapt and they seem to be mostly located in and around the coastal region I understand.  However, I will chat with them to see if that has changed.  Appreciate your information.  B.

Hello Chica, my plan is to relocate to the area from the UK some time this year, once sorted I would be very much interested in doing some mountain walking, flat walking is OK but for me I preferre the hills with the views and the extra challenge.

Hola.  Thanks for message.  And yes I am with you on preferences.  So to include as many as possible, I am going to suggest 2 groups, Walkers and Strollers.  Hopefully if it goes that way both groups will go out on the same day and meet up afterwards. I think there is a need for both those who want to exercise, and those who have perhaps only just moved to this area and want to get to know new friends, so I don't want to exclude anyone. Putting a list together (20 so far) and will then arrange a meeting and set up a FB page once I know direction of travel :-) Chica.

Hi Richard. Thanks for message. I already have one other person from Pilar interested.  And I am sure folk will be happy to car share as this is of course cost effective, and sometimes there is not always much space to park cars at the beginning of the walks, so the less of them the better.

I am at the moment trying to organise a meeting at the Townhall to talk to them about useful maps for the area.  Should have on Friday / Monday if they exist, so will now start putting a meeting together to see what everyone wants out of this group.  Will keep you posted along with everyone else.
