Hi we are moving to Campoverde with our pets 2 cats and a dog.I keep hearing different stories about putting your pets in the hold of a plane.Has anyone travelled by plane with their pets and please reassure me that they will be fine.A nurse at my health centre has just told me her friends rabbit died because it was to cold.I am sure there are regulations in place for transporting animals in holds it must be done on a daily basis with lots of animals.
All kinds of animals are air freighted every day, true, but mine wouldn´t be one of them. There are conflicting tales because animals will react differently.

Legendary helpful member
If you are concerned about them travelling by air, why don’t you consider one of the specialist overland animal transport companies. We used one for our two cats, the company sorted out everything and also delivered them to a local reputable cattery/doggery! Where they could stay until we were ready to bring them home. This was because we didn’t actually have a house legally for a couple of weeks after we came and therefore couldn’t have them in hotels etc. this suited us perfectly and the cats were absolutely fine - it was also much less costly than the air option.

We brought our dog over by air from UK to Lanzarote they do travel in the hold the lights are switched off to keep your dog calm and the part of the hold where the dog travels is heated hope this helps put your mind at rest.
