That is wonderful! Whether it's working with the dogs, cats ( that's where I volunteer, also in the charity shop) or in one of the shops, it gives life a bit of purpose if you're at a loose end and you get to make friends! You can contact the charity via Margaret on +34637054448 and she will talk you through the options. You won't regret it, I have made more friends working in the shop ((I've been here 8 months) than I ever made in the Uk! Give Margaret a call when you're in Spain and welcome to Campoverde!!

HI, I moved to Campoverde in Sept. and have 2 little dogs. During 1 week 2 feral cats (a boy and girl - I think appr. 8 months old ... ) enter the garden, and want to come in the house, eat and scare the dogs ... First I tried to chase them away, but that didn't work and they came back every time. Since 2 days I started to feed them, outside the garden, and try to keep them outdoors. They are sweet, you can pet them and they walk with me and the dogs when we go out. But turned out I am allergic for the cats ... Not sure what to do. Can they go to the cat rescue? How does that work? Do not want anythong bad t happen to them, but they just do not fit in our household ..Looking forward to hear from you. Thanks Else

Hi, I don't really know what to suggest. As you can imagine the centre is full to the brim with cats and if they're feral cats they won't get rehomed as they're not tame. As for feeding them, you are encouraging them. If you were speaking to the people who set up the rescue centre they would tell you to stop feeding them. As an animal lover myself I couldn't do that as I would worry too much about them. I'm sorry I can't be more help.

Ok thank you any way :-) I have the same. I do realize that feeding them triggers them, but I just couldn't do nothing....

nice twist ... today during my walk in de rio Seco I found 3 kittens, appr. 3,5 weeks old... Called Natasje, she helped me out with info how to bottle feed. Anyway, looking for a place for these little ones now too ... I have found a home for 1 of the ginger ones already. 2 to GO

Oh my gosh! The last thing you needed really but well done you for not giving up on them. I would have probably done the same, can't stand the thought of any animal suffering. Hope you get on ok with your bottle feeding!

HI

Maybe you could try to take them to LA PERERA   in Torrevieja next to Guardia Civil opposite Carrefour.  Ask when you get there

people will help you.

If you can pick them up and cuddle them       no problem    better not say they are feral as they might not take them

Good luck.
