Cancelled F1 Barcelona trip

Our 3 night packaged trip was postponed from May and subsequently cancelled as the actual race will be held in August but behind closed doors. The package included coach transfer to our hotel destination, 3 nights half board, entry to the circuit and transfer back and forth. Our travel agents have said they will arrange a refund but this may take some time due to the different providers involved. Has anyone else booked this and received any refund and if so when? I of course have the option of contacting my credit card company but I don't want to jump the gun so to speak.

Sorry to hear that.

My wife and I were due to be at the French GP this weekend - cancelled.

We arranged things ourselves. 

About 2 weeks ago, the F1 ticket website offered us 2 options ... (a) a credit note against a future event, or (b) our money back.

We chose (b), and expect the money to reappear in our credit card account soon. So your travel provider is probably in the same position.

We cancelled our accommodation (no charge) and the circuit car park website refused our booking, so I assume that the event was in doubt by the time we wanted to book the parking space.

Thanks for the reply. I'll probably wait another week or so and then chase them. If no response I will more than likely go with the credit card company refund as we need the funds towards other travel arrangements we are making independently.
