Hi

I want to use my scanner to scan in Spanish text and then translate to English.

In effect, I want to use the scanner for OCR.

Can anyone recommend software for this ?   I have Windows 10.

Thanks

I find this one pretty accurate - and it's free!  https://www.onlineocr.net/

It is online, not a download. I then take the text in to https://www.deepl.com/translator which I find much more accurate than google translate.

I use "CamScan" on my mobile phone, very versatile incl. OCR, printing, forwarding and much more.

I'm with Ray. Right-click on a pdf, or an image containing text, and tell ABBYY to convert it into a Word, Excel or PDF document.

Thanks Chaps.

Very helpful. We had a 22 page quotation for construction works to go through this morning.

deepl.com wouldn't play, but we used google translate. It was OK, but some interpretation is iffy.

deeple.com seems to have woken up now, so I will give the iffy bits another go. Will try the others as well.

Regardless of which translator we use, the cost just will not go down .......
