Hi, anyone have an idea regarding car breakdown during the lockdown period. Not sure if garage repair services are even likely to be running ? Assumedly gruas available for emergencies ??

Thanks in advance...

LOCKDOWN: Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez at La Moncloa today to announce the Royal Decree

Officers will be given special powers to make ‘checks’ on people, goods, vehicles, buildings and establishments while the state of alarm is in effect.

The Royal Decree issued today says citizens will only be able to use public roads for the following reasons:

  1. Acquisition of food, pharmaceuticals and basic necessities.
  2. Visits to health centres.
  3. Travel to the workplace to perform work or business-related activities.
  4. Return to the place of habitual residence.
  5. Assistance and care for the elderly, minors, dependents, people with disabilities or especially vulnerable people.
  6. Visits to financial entities. v

Many thanks.. Possibly I'm being slow but seems to me much of the above might involve use of a car which may breakdown. Are you able to clarify ?

Rgds....

  2. Visits to health centres.
  3. Travel to the workplace to perform work or business-related activities. Hope helps V

Frankly I don't believe it, if somebody is broken down on the side of the AP-7 does anybody honestly believe a guru would refuse to attend if you told them you were not doing 1, 2, or 3 as suggested, would they even ask and if they did but you don't speak Spanish would you understand what they were asking and be able to answer?

But hey, armed with the 'information' if you did breakdown and needed to call a gura - and you were were able talk to them - at least you now know what to say was the purpose of your journey!

The OP question was are the gruas working (& garage repairs). The answer was yes, they´ll get him "moving on".
