We want to complete our permanent move to Spain next month from the UK. We have been accepted for residencia pre December 2020 so all our paperwork is in place. We want to self drive the last of our belongings and plan to use the Portsmouth to Bilbao/Santander route. Do we have to complete any paper work for customs for our own belongings (which we have no intention of selling) to avoid paying any import duty and then having to try and claim it back. If we were doing vice versa and coming into the UK, you have to fill in a ToR1. Is there a Spanish equivalent?

Hi nic. You could call Brittany ferries customer services. They were very helpful when we had a few questions. 👍

Hi, we didn’t when we drove over last month.  But we had a letter in English & Spanish from our Spanish Solicitor saying that we were moving from UK to Spain & had our new TIEs with us.
