Hi all can anyone help as we have left the eu and we are non residence but own our house and car in campoverde do we have to have a Spanish driving licence ? If so how do we apply and can we do so with not being residence in Spain . Hope someone can shed some light on this . Many thanks

You don't need a Spanish licence if you think about it if you went to Germany for a month would you need a German license

Thanks for your reply but I don’t own a car in Germany I own a car in Spain as a non resident that was before we left the eu so I’m trying to get clarification on that . Thanks

If you remain non-Resident (with the constraints entailed by that status) you do not need a Spanish license.

You don't need to have a Spanish driving licence unless you're going to live in Spain permanently. If your car has English plates they will need changing to Spanish registration.

Hi
Whilst you don’t need a Spanish licence not a bad idea to get a international License which you get from the Post Office & last for 12 Mtrs
Iam In the same position as yourself & if in the future decide to relocate to Spain will have to take a Spanish driving test
You can’t get a Spanish licence now unless you hold necessary entitlement or as now left EU take a driving test
