He parted and starmer had an indoor meeting that was a lot more dangerous as regards peoples health! If Labour get in you will have less money in your pockets as they cannot do as they wanted without taking off the working people. Every government upsets us all , they all end up unpopular as they do as they do , but Labour will be the worst in my opinion that we’ve ever had! I have never thought this before , but I think they will be a disaster! I know there isn’t a lot to choose from , and another term of the tories will not be great! However , this Labour Party will take us for everything we have ! That’s why I’m living in Spain! They understand here now , that’s why Vox are trying to get rid of Pedro Sanchez

Hi Paul, did you actually read the article that V. posted?

Quote:

"We are not introducing an EU-wide youth mobility scheme - free movement within the EU was ended and there are no plans to introduce it," a government spokesperson said on Friday evening.

Downing Street said it prefers country-by-country deals to an agreement that would apply across all 27 member states.

And Labour has said it has "no plans for a youth mobility scheme" if it wins the general election later this year.

A party spokesperson said it had already pledged "no return to the single market, customs union or free movement" if it takes office.

Unquote:

It was also pointed out that the UK already runs schemes with some non-EU countries to allow people to come to the UK for up to two years.

Not exactly a disgraceful refusal and Labour are in agreement with the policy. Maybe you'd be better to vote for the Lib Dems?.

I wonder if the generous EU offer was linked to the fact that many EU countries have a significant shortage of skilled workers?

Rgds,

Aitch.

I doubt very much the shortage of skilled workers in the EU is anywhere near as bad as it is in the UK, PM Starmer will definitely rebuild bridges with the EU and yes I will be voting Lib Dem as Labour can't win where I'm from.

Google skilled worker shortage in Europe and you'll see the facts.

Could luck with voting Lib Dem.

This governemnt are a disgrace and seem to be deliberately making things even worse for the incoming labour government, that was a generous gesture from the EU just like when they said we could join their vaccination procurement scheme and Johnson's govt rejected their offer.

Unfortunately we are also suffering from what Gordon Brown did when he raided the good and the pensions … The new incoming govt have to deal with that ….Whovsuffers  the working people !….Tories are bad , Labour are worse , and the others wouldn’t get in if they were any good

Labour sold the gold reserves but all that money was traceable and went into improving public services,  the tories have since more than doubled the national debt and that was pre-prepandemic, they have also inflicted brexit on us which according to the OBR and the IMF has hit our economy by 4% year on year, they also paid out hundreds of millions to friends of the party through their VIP lane for PPE some of it entirely useless, the whole cabinet have offshore accounts which can only be for tax avoidance.

The others can never get in because the UK is not a democracy and a vote for the greens for instance would be throwing your vote away, the tories 80 seat majority was won with just 43% of the vote, the 57% have no say on anything, anyway enjoy the sun.
