Hi, My wife and I all thinking of moving from Girona to Campoverde .

Since Brexit we are the only expats on our urbanisation .

Approximately how many English speakers are full-time residents in campoverde ?

Any information would be much appreciated .

There is a very strong English speaking community in Campoverde and a good percentage of full-time residents too.

There are most things that you need for day to day living and the town of Pilar de la Horadada is a short drive away, on route to lovely beaches.

Your reply is what I was hoping for.

We hope to visit the area later this year.

Thank you for your reply.

Hi

Let me put it this way - there is an Iceland store in Campoverde!

However, be aware that public transport approximates to nada.

Cheers

Steve

Thank you for your reply.

At the moment we live on a hillside urbanisation near Girona, with no shops and one bar at the bottom of the the hill. to have shops, bars, restaurants and English speakers is very tempting.

William .

Hi. William. We have owned a place in Campoverde for close on 20years. And yes many residents speak English   Great I hear you say!!!  BUT  I had an accident  earlier this year   The Hospital was great    But how I wish I had learned even a little Spanish laziness on my part because of what you are asking  stay in Campoverde by all means  but I assure you speaking and understanding a little Spanish is a great bonus to living in Spain    Keep safe and well   Brian

Hi Brian, like you my Spanish is not very good, luckily for me my wife's Spanish is good and she can get by with most Spanish only situations.

Thank you for your reply.

Pinar de Campoverde is a village set on a wooded hillside, 8 kms inland on the Costa Blanca, with views to the Mediterranean. There are about 3000 houses on the urbanisation, populated mainly by Spanish, British, German, French, Belgian and Dutch residents.

To the east of the village is the famous Rio Seco Natural Park where you can walk along the (usually dry!) bed of the river. There is a spectacular gorge

carved by the waters over millennia through the yellow sandstone.

Pinar de Campoverde enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, very hot in summer and protection by surrounding mountains against the cold north winds in winter. The area averages nearly 3,000 hours of sunshine each year and the average temperature easily exceeds 20 degrees.

The local town of Pilar de la Horadada is very active all year round. Lots going on, to see, to experience, and unlike some other places, does not close down in the winter months.

The Campoverde Vecinos association exists to help the local residents, to be a conduit to the local Town Hall and to encourage local integration.
