Hi all, my name is Vicky, I am 40and I am looking to move to Campoverde and start a fresh new life with my little dog, Lola (pomeranian x jack russell) as soon as we are able to travel again (June/July) and I am hoping to get to know and make some new friends when I do.

I am a sociable bubbly person and love nothing more than sitting around in good company chatting and laughing over a few drinks. I love good food and especially love and am pretty good at cooking. I'm an outdoor chick and love sitting outside relaxing and going out and about walking hence my dire want/need to move abroad as can barely do that here in UK and I find it very depressing.

I am a dog lover and just love hanging out with my little buddy Lola and going for our little adventures together. She comes with me everywhere! We used to be a team of three but I sadly lost my eldest recently so just the two of us now.

Anyway if there is anyone out there currently living in Campoverde or in nearby/surrounding areas that would like to reach out, say hi, give me any hints or tips about moving to and living in Spain, anything, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks.

Vicky

Hello Vicky

I am assuming you are in the UK with a UK passport. If so, the requirements  for moving to Spainhave changed since  Jan 1st 2021 & Brexit. Its more difficult & more paperwork is required also it's become more expensive in line with the fact that the UK is no longer in the EU ....

You have to start your application for a Visa,  from the Spanish Embassy in the UK

Here's a link you can read,  written by one of our members, which detail the finanacial & healthcare requirements needed to  apply for your Visa + lots of other documentation you will need.

https://www.costablancaforum.com/area/rojales-spain-114/residency-in-rojales-padron.

If you meet all the requirements etc. there is a lot more info. available on the forum  on locations etc...

Cheers

Hi Vicky and welcome to the forum!

Just to follow on from El's post, you don't say whether you will need to work or not, so it's worth looking at the visa options for Spain, which are detailed on the Spanish government website:

http://www.exteriores.gob.es/Consulados/LONDRES/en/Consulado/Pages/Visas.aspx

Kind regards,

Kim

Thank you that's very helpful. Yes I'm aware of the changes and that there are more hoops to jump through. I am hoping to work in my usual job remotely from Spain but otherwise I will need to find work. Those details are yet to be confirmed. I do intend to live there. My dad lives there currently and my brother is moving there with his partner in June and I hope to follow and join them with my dog. My brother having very recently been through all the necessary paperwork etc is helping me with that having just been through the process himself so that's handy for me. Thank you for the link, that's really useful. Appreciate it.

Hello I’m Jody. I live in Pilar de la Horadada. 63. Looking to meet people in the area over a coffee. I’m single, live with my cat.  Very active, keep fit, love live music/dancing. Have a car so can travel if not in Pilar.

Thank,

Jidy
