Can anyone help please?  I have been through the process of generating a digital certificate so that my signature can be generated digitally.  The process is complete and I have received notification that the certificate has been generated and the file is being stored in the ‘Cerificate Store’ - presumably on my laptop (?) but I cannot find it anywhere!  Does anyone know what the process is, should I be asked to provide my digital signature please - it could be that there may be a link that I need to provide and it will be checked by the organisation that generated it?  All sounds rather vague! TIA.

We went through the process, but did not realise that we only had 7 days to click on the email we were sent. Only realised when it was too late!

Not sure I am going to do it again.

I received the e-mail this morning - followed the instructions, which included updating JavaScript on my laptop.  All went well, message came up to say it had been generated, but I just can’t find where it is being stored - so I don’t know how to access it if I’m asked for it!

Your digital certificate is found automatically by the website when needed.

Guessing that you are using windows 10 click in the search box in the task bar and type in ´certificates'.

Then click on 'manager user certificates'.

On the right side of this dialogue box click on 'personal'.

You should see a file with your name on it in there and that will be your digital certificate file.

Don't do anything with it, (unless you know what you are doing, unlike me)  just close the dialogue box.

Thank you Myra2020.  I have found the file now.  As you say, it isn’t an actual certificate but it is reassuring to know that the software will pop-up when I need to access it.

Hi,

I received a similar email today regarding a digital certificate and it said I only had 11 days to respond, I put it in the junk folder as I thought it was a scam.

I hope it’s not.

Thanks for the heads up.  This is an e-mail that was generated immediately following my appointment with the Town Hall yesterday, having completed the relevant forms to apply for a digital certificate.  They explained the procedure to me and said there would be an e-mail waiting for me when I got home.

I'm so glad your email was genuine.

The reason I binned mine was that I didn't ask for digital certificate and my name wasn't on the email and the senders address looked dodgy lol.

I think I need a drink.

Cheers.

I have found mine by following Myra's instructions. Is this the same as a Cl@ve? I've been trying to get a Residencia Fiscal online and it says I don't have one!!!
