Jim, your guides hopefully will reduce the number of annoying questions I´m going to have to ask if my solo move is to happen successfully. As you say many others, thank you Nicola, can and will help and that makes all the difference. I hope it is not too long before you are back at your keyboard...these are difficult times. We are on  Iberdrolas night tariff.We use 2 air con units for 8 hours through the night,every night. We use one unit when it is on the dearer period early evening.Between us we have 6 showers daily.Have an electric cooker. I use the dishwasher and washing machine late evening or before midday. This months bill was 90€. That she pretty damn fair to us. Good luck. 

what do you pay per kw h?

Sorry,don't know what we pay per kWh,is that kilowatt?  Never bothered with that. We are happy with the price though. Winter is a different story,but that is our fault,as we use the air con on hot in the expensive period. Our highest monthly winter bill was 140€. Bearing in mind we use the oven more for hot meals,than summer. We have heaters running in bedrooms after using the shower,so I suppose it's not too bad at all. We have been with Iberdrola for 6 years now. 

My July prices before taxes were:

High rate - 0,165159 €/kWh

Low rate - 0,086099 €/kWh

THATS CHEAP

In the UK I pay So you can then see if Spain is VERY expensive as I am told

It would be interesting to see both figures on different tariffs for Murcia and Alicante, not sure if there is a difference between areas

Yes,it's a shame that some posts get positively nasty. Absolutely no need,this is 'normally' a nice site with folk only wanting to help each other. Some folk just need to chill. This from a 6 year in ex pat,who isn't smug,and deffo doesn't know it all. I rely on ex pats who do,thank you. Xxxxx
