Hi, we are with feníe engergía. We have solar for our hot water, but use an electric hot water heater if we have days of cloud. I’ve just checked our last bill. 8/04/18 - 8/05/18 48.81€ this includes 8.47€ of IVA. We are also on cheap rate night tariff which starts at 23.00-13.00. So try and do the washing, dishwasher and running the pool pump. Also aircon, I have a 3 bed 3 bathroom villa,  I also have an electric oven. Hope you find something cheaper 😎

Hi I want to ask how we can transfer from Iberdrolla to fenie energia. what is procedure of making change and do they charge anything for transfer or is is free.I also want to ask how long does it take to complete transfer process. please reply in detail. Thank you

Anne, please would you divide the bill total, including tax, by the total number of units used, and let me know what the 'true' cost per unit works out at. I know it varies from one bill to another, but it gives a good idea of the average cost without having to bother about separate unit and standing charges.

€48.81 divided by a total of 182 comes to an average cost per unit of 26.82 cents.

Our last Iberdrola bill was €70.66 for 371 units, giving an average price of 19.05 cents, and we're on the 5.75 kW contract.

The bill before that was €107.05 for 598 units, giving an average of 17.90 cents.

Don't be alarmed! - there's a twist to the tail.

Although your per unit charges are higher than Iberdrola, your standing charge is lower.

I ran your consumption as though you were on the same Iberdrola tariff as myself, and the bill total came out at €49.51 - marginally higher than feníe.

I also did the reverse, and ran our figures as though we were on your contract. The bottom line came out at €72.61 with feníe, as opposed to €70.66 with Iberdrola.

This seems to confirm what I've suspected for some time. If you don't use a lot of electricity, then Feníe are cheaper than Iberdrola, but if you use a fair bit of electricity, then Iberdrola are cheaper.

Really appreciate all the information you provide on this site. I also am with Fenie Energia and pay Iberswitch too. I get some bills approx consumption 900 kw and some with no usage although we are here all the time. That looks high, but then there are these other bills with no consumption, which I don't understand. I would appreciate any help, thanks
