The reason for that might be because the utility companies and companies in Spain all use the address format held by your Townhall.

Check your utility bills or check with your urb administrator for the correct address format, we did not realise we were using the incorrect format, when I had parcels delivered by Correos I never understood what they were trying to tell me about the address, then the euro dropped! 😊

Alternatively you could do what we did, we paid for a post box at a shop in Villamartin, they also accept parcels for us so no waiting in. It's not a post box per se as we use the address of the shop when ordering online, we do have a small post box for letters and cards from the UK which Martin just pops our post in and we just go there maybe once a week to check for any mail.

€75 per year, it's worth every euro for the parcel deliveries alone, in the last fortnight I have ordered from M & S, Twinings Tea and The Hambleton Gallery all arrived safely with no problems at the post shop and I can collect them at my leisure.

M&S delivery did you not get any charge with the UK coming out of the EU as we had some blinds from the uk and they courier wanted to charge us €48.

Thanks Lorraine

No charge, but I do use M & S Spain even though the parcel is shipped from the UK! the order took just 5 days from ordering to delivery at the post shop.

I have ordered loads of things since the beginning of the year never had a problem or had to pay any extra and everything was delivered quicker than before, my last order from M & S value was €160.
