Hi

We've got a property in Pinar de Campoverde and were 'lucky' to be in Spain last week when the rain arrived.  The bottom level of the house was flooded and it took 4 of us around 5 hours to get rid of the water.  Our insurance is through Banco Sabadell and I have spoken to them and they gave me the number you need to ring but I cant get through .  When I looked on the website of the Insurance Compensation Consortium (www.consorseguros.es) to try and contact someone its all in Spanish and unfortunately my limited Spanish hasn't helped me to understand what to do.

Has anyone managed to get through either by phone or email to sort things out.  The rain has damaged some bedside cabinets and dressing tables in 2 bedrooms and also some lounge furniture.  We're coming back over to Spain again in a couple of weeks so until we get there we don't know what else might be damaged.  I don't really know who else to contact.

The numbers for Sabadell insurance are.

934165075

Overseas customer service

+34932609729

You are able to choose the English option.

The person that we spoke to was very helpful. Be sure to give them your email address so you can request information etc online.

Hope this helps

Sorry to hear of your pain, I use Google translate when I come up against Spanish websites or emails. Its not perfect but you get the gist.

As far as the Compensation Consortium is concerned, have you been into the local Town Hall and spoken with José?

As a local representative of Pilar Town Hall, they have set up a claims department.

See    https://campoverdevecinos.org?page=gotafria2019

José can supply the necessary forms directly.

Also, the initial registration request of within 7 days has been extended (legally it is actually 2 years!)

Many thanks for all your advice.  I think I'll call in to the Town Hall office on our next visit over to Spain in a couple of weeks - it might be a bit more straightforward face to face.  Thanks again everybody.
