Future move to Pinar De Campoverde

My husband and I have an apartment in Villamartin, which we have had for 12 years, only used as a holiday home. We are looking to retire early in 2023 (we will be 55) and our favourite place is Pinar De Campoverde. We keep visiting and have been to other places but Campoverde keeps drawing us back:-) It seems to tick all of our boxes. Hopefully, when the time comes we will look forward to settling here and joining a good community.

We plan to come over in October to put our apartment on the market and will be once again visiting. Can I just ask is there a taxi service available in the village?

I have seen taxi's in the village, but have never used one myself. We have a friend that uses them though.

There are no taxis based in Campoverde, but the village is served by taxi companies in Pilar de la Horadada.

A few weeks ago I was in a party of 4 from Campoverde to Horadada and back. We were in a minivan taxi (I think because of Covid rules). The cost was 16 euros each way.

Thanks Kelvin, so i'm assuming then that these taxi's wouldn't come out to Campoverde to do taxi runs just around the village? I can't foresee us needing one very often as I am hoping that wherever we buy, we would be within walking distance of a restaurant or bar should we both want to have a drink. Good to know if we wanted a night out without driving to Pilar we could order a taxi though :-)

They will come out, but naturally they will charge more.

But as I'm sure you know, there are two main ranks of restaurants/bars in the village (one in the old village centre and one half way down the hill), so the houses within a few hundred metres are priced at a bit of a premium.
