Hi everyone,

My family and I are looking to relocate to Pinar De Campoverde in the next couple of months. Does anyone know if there is work for electricians in the area? Would also work in any area I could get to. Thanks in advance.

Thanks.

We have all been learning Spanish for about a year now, but obviously none of it electrically based! So that is my hope, as you say to get my qualifications recognised in Spain so I can work legally. Do companies allow you to work and learn at the same time in order to get the courses done? Also what are the best sites to look on. Thanks again.

Ian

Contact Daniel - the boss at Amps - https://www.facebook.com/ampselectricaldaniel/

I've used their company a few times & they are one of the few English/Spanish companies here.  Perhaps some vacancies or locations they are not covering. Owner is English & is long-established.

If you were to become self-employed - as an English speaking only - it's not that big a deal, any major works, you just do a deal with a local registered Spanish electrician - to verify & sign off, for his fee. That is the usual 'workaround'. There's usually plenty of business for small jobs continually for electricians - just a case of doing a good job & getting your name about.

There is also a possible opportunity in EV charging point installations locally - this is a growing market throughout Europe - though would need to know what the local regulations are specific to this - I know there are extra qualifications in the UK, but are a few days and not too expensive - nothing major to a qualified Electrician.

Hi thanks for your help. AMPS are not looking for electricians at the moment but a good place to start. I will keep searching.
