Good solicitors
Hi ,
Can anyone recommend a good solicitor, as we are thinking of buying a property in Campoverde, and we have been advised to get a good solicitor.

We moved here in April and used adminserv based in la zenia they work with 2 solicitors and take the worry out of every aspect Teresa and Nacho delt with our move NIE numbers. There was nothing to much trouble and made us feel very safe every step of the way.
They are now dealing with our Sip cards. resedentsIa and reregistration of our car.
Very friendly and professional. And always at the end of a phone.

I know I will get shot down in flames by many on the forum, and yes I would have done the same this time last year.
However we have just sold and bought in Campoverde. We used the Agents qualified representative at the Notary. All debt checks, land registry details and local council requirements were verified by the Agent then again at the Notary.
When we bought the first time we used a Solicitor who failed to check on outstanding community fees and we were burnt, on top of the legal fee bill we had to pay. I must add not the solicitors mentioned within the thread, we have used David and he is very good.
The Notary has responsibilities to ensure the sale progresses lawfully. I would have always used solicitors but this saved me legal fees as I was selling via the same agent. If your property is on an established community I would be tempted to speak to the Agent and see what process they can offer. We are out on 11th Sept if you want us to talk over our experience.

Adminserv are not solicitors but agents acting on our behalf. Not connected to real estates

I can suggest Mariano at GM Legal he is fluent in English and used to work for Greatet London council too so is familiar with English as well as Spanish law. He will do your wills in English law which are different to spanish as property goes To children not spouse.
He will tell you not to pay 1 cent deposit (not 3k to reserve it) as many agents do until he has checked it out. He often works outside office hours ( we once got a reply at 10pm).
He has offices in Guardama but also opposite Consum on way to La Zenia +34965727295. Speak to Mariano

I would agree with this if we were to buy again.
We have recently bought in Campoverde using a solicitor (one that is mentioned in this thread) and it was not a good experience.
We had numerous issues with work not being completed when we were told it had been or being done incorrectly. And same as the above, debt checks were not properly carried out and there were outstanding fees.
There was no apology or help to sort out their mistakes. Felt like they were trying to take advantage of us not being from Spain.
The Spanish don’t normally use solicitors for property, and I can see why.
