Lost resedencia card

OK, so I lost my green resedencia card, I've turned the house upside down, been through pockets and drawers and its nowhere to be found. I could have lost it in Torrevieja as I had all my documents with me but I'm not sure. I know I need to report it so do ireport it in Torrevieja or Torre de la Horadada? Do they speak English there or do I need a translator?

Next question is what forms do I need to fill in to get a replacement? I have looked online but I can only seem to find forms for upgrading the current green card to the new one. Is that what I need?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Hello

I think you should report your lost card in Torre de la Horadada as you are unsure whether it was lost in Torrevieja.

You will now have to replace that card with a new TIE card as the old green cards are no longer issued, I think you said you had found the guide on the forum.

Sorry no idea whether the local police will speak English, think you need to call in the police station & ask if you will need a translator.

You will need to report the loss of your card to the police, then you will need to apply for the new TIE as no more green cards will be issued to British residents.

Hi , I lost mine too.,but went to the police with passport padrón and any other necessary paperwork ..They will give you a denunció/a ,which can then be used as proof of having had a residencia . I then got a lawyer to carry out application for tie , cost €100 , and am collecting it Friday ..need to go with lawyer twice for application to apply , but it was quite straight forward .... hope that helps

See Greg in the office at the end of the car park where Don Pepe's is. He arranged our residentia & Spanish Driving Licences so will advise you & he's English but speaks fluent Spanish
