Hi, I am looking for some Malbec but so far haven't found it in the local supermarkets. Can anyone tell me where I can buy it, to save me looking at every single bottle of red wine on the shelves in the hope of spotting some! Thanks in advance.

In all our time here I've never seen any sign of Spanish vineyards growing Malbec grapes, but I can't say they don't because wine bottles often don't say what type of grape is used.

As Malbec is grown primarily in France, I looked at Carrefour:

I also looked at El Corte Inglés:

On this subject, if anyone knows where I can buy Brown Brothers Dry Muscat, I'd like to know.

I was in Iceland supermarket ( Torrevieja) couple of weeks ago and I'm sure I saw it there !

You're quite correct Karen, they do a red and a rosé.

Ouch! Looked at Carrefour, 45€ is a bit out of my price range,I'd want a crate for that. I was hoping it would be around the £8 mark or a it more like I paid in the Uk. Thanks for the info though.

Try La Casa Del Vino in Pilar...near to the tourist information centre. They speak English!

Thank you, I didn't think to try there. Got a bottle from Masymas, quite reasonable, 7€. Am still looking though!
