Thank you Linda. Yes, that’s probably what we’re going to do. One way or another we’ll get there lol.

As jim said we’re going to use next year visiting various places to see our options (and enjoy frequent breaks abroad 😉).

Best wishes

Amanda xxxx

My advice would be to come out to Spain for the winter months and rent somewhere and then go back to the UK in spring and enjoy the UK spring, summer and autumn and avoid that dismal UK winter when the clocks go back. It's too hot here in summer anyway!! By renting you don't lose a foot on UK pro...

Also by renting here in Spain you don't have to worry about taxes when purchasing property, maintenance etc and if you've hideous neighbours like I do in Spain you can leave at the end of your tenancy and know you'll never have to see them again!! Another bit of advice, unless you want seclusion then rent somewhere near the coast that has a bit of all year round life. The villages and towns inland are a bit grim and soulless in winter! Best of luck

I agree 100% with Iqbal.  Rent first, (Feb) ask yourself what facilities you require, simple things like Doctors, shops, cafe's, etc.  Are you happy to drive 20 mins for a news paper or cup of coffee.
