Have a look at these two sites as they may have answers to some of your queries.   Citizens Advice Bureau Spain for general queries and the N332 site for anything to do with driving in Spain.   The latter site is run by Guardia Civil officers in Torrevieja for English speaking people.

Thanks so much, most others have been negative but it's all about adventure for me and if I don't do it I will always wonder.

Thanks again Aaron

Hi Arron I came February on my own packed a car and drove from north of England, I’m a cleaner by trade and yes wage not as good but money goes further here so evens out. My son took my car back before six months and yes cars here expensive but still bargains to be had, also easy to sell Uk car as folk want them to go home. Go for it mate you only live once, all the best to you.

Hi,

My name is Aaron, I am 30 yrs old and am looking to relocate to Pinoso from the UK.

I have enough money to cover rent etc for the first three months. I am looking for suitable accommodation and ideally looking to start  work as soon as I arrive. I am happy to share an apartment to keep costs to a minimum. I have held a UK driving licence for over 12 years. I have a car which I am wondering whether to sell before I arrive or to drive it over and would appreciate advice in this regard.

I have work experience in customer service roles in shops, passenger service agent (Gatwick Airport) kitchen work prepping and cooking food, taxi driver, landscape gardening and am willing to learn new skills and turn my hand to most things.

I would like to be part the community of Ex-Pats who enjoy the good weather and who are enjoying a better quality of life than I am currently experiencing in the UK.

I would very much appreciate any advice that the forum community have to offer.

Thanks in advance,

Aaron

Hi Aaron,

My husband and I have just moved to Pinoso. It is a very friendly town and there are a number of younger people living here now. Finding work could be a challenge but you have money for 3 months so give it a go! Rent for a small place is around 300 euros a month.

Hi Aaron

We are moving over to near Murcia border  in October.  I bought a car there and am selling my own in UK before leaving.  My partner has just part ex'd his in Spain on our trip last week, and on our pre move trip in September he is swapping the cars over then.  The company we used are excellent - will give you details if interested ….(they have website and are English staff and very very helpful - hence why partner also bought from them)

Yes, as you have been told cars are more expensive in spain mainly due to UK having more secondhand cars for sale and therefore pushing prices down.  But everything else is cheaper lol.

Sorry don't know about jobs but YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE, and I say go for it, and if you find work then you will not regret it I am sure :-)

best of luck

Why Pinoso? Its the culo of the world (its Spanish - Google it) there is no work of any description there.

If you are serious then you have to go to large towns or cities like Benidorm where there are half a million Brits in similar circumstances.

Stay where you are, get some kind of qualification and then, in a couple of years after Brexit, give it a try.

Richard
