Ian B, I'm relatively new to facebook, and have also tried to get in touch with ex military pals, if they are on facebook, it is easy enough to locate and friend them, but I also looked at who they were friends with and sent friends requests to these people explaining who I was, I have now been in touch with several members using this method.
