Hi Everybody

I am a qualified Horticulturist living in ireland next year I will be relocating to Spain for the rest of my life I have several hardy tropical plants  in Large containers that will grow in Spain and I would like to put in the truck with my furniture

Is this OK to do so I do not want to create a problem

Thank you for any help with this query

Hello Billy

I can't speak for Ireland with customs etc. but a friend of mine moved here in Sept from UK  but didnt get most of her personal belongings delivered until Dec. A local  transport service based here collected her things which included 4 large pots with established plants in & they arrived mostly intac,t so I don't think its going to be a problem  for you. If anything has changed this year post Brexit arrangements it might require more paperwork - but maybe not.

Good Luck with your plans &  plants, mine are so important to me.

Cheers

Make enquiries about the specific type of plant that you are bringing into Spain as some non native varieties are banned and are considered to be invasive. I don't know rules and regulations about that type of thing but I imagine they will impose some sort of fine....
