Good morning everyone.

Does anyone know of a local charity or shop that  deals in 2nd hand furniture ?

I have a number of small items that I want to get rid of that I would rather donate than throw away.

I have 4 pine bedside cabinets, a chest of 6 wide draws, a small desk,  and no doubt some other odds and ends once I have completed my Xmas clearout !

If anyone is interested and can use such things  please let me know

Simon

S.A.T.S.    dog trust...several shops in the area for the main place in a few miles outside Torrevieja.  Drive down the N332 towards Playa Flaenca...exit on ROAD TO ORIHUELA, continue another few kms, you will see the motorway exit ahead at the big garden centre on the bend...continue on until you see GREEN RAILINGS on left of road ( just before the right turn to San Mguel) ,turn in and drive along a bumpy concrete driveway until to see the finca ahead..cars always parked everywhere.

This large “shop” is manned by volunteers from various countries including English people. You will see books, bric a brac, furniture, electrical goods, clothes, bedding, dog leads, bowls etc.toys and goodness only knows what else!  We always bring unneeded household items, books and our used clothes as well as buying books there @€1 for 5 books. It is open every Sunday and Wednesday mornings from 10AM until 12 noon.

They will be more than delighted to accept anything you want to donate. We bought 3 oil filled heaters earlier this winter for €10 each which were superb value. It is a terrific place and supported by dog lovers and many others.

Take a trip out sometime, at the very least, you will get some good reading material.

There is a charity shop for cats just beyond the "Mas y Mas" supermarket which is off the market square. They should take smaller items.

Alternatively there is a second hand furniture shop opposite "Country Fincas" estate agents on the road leading down from Caixa bank (Antonios).

Thanks for the info everyone.

I donated the items to the Cat sanctuary / charity shop by mas y mas in Pinoso.

Lovely couple also run a café / Bistro from there, they take donations of most household and clothing items..
