There are many shops that sell Lottery tickets including Euromillions, just like in the U.K. buy your ticket for a particular draw, after the date of draw take your ticket back and they will check your numbers-

Euromilliones is exactly like it is in the UK - select your numbers and choose whether you want to play Tuesday, Friday, or both. You can also buy a lucky dip ticket.
Heading up to Christmas, most people buy a €20 ticket in El Gordo - Lotería de Navidad, and here you just select a numbered ticket from the range on display in the lottery shop.
There are a number of other lotteries also available.
If you want to support the disabled, you can buy ONCE tickets from the vendors you see on the streets or at the entrances to places like large supermarkets or hospitals. These come in a variety of flavours, but normally you'd just hand €2 to the vendor and he'll give you a ticket.
Even though we know the odds, we do buy lottery tickets, as it's the only way we could ever become rich.
Perhaps worth a mention is that many people when choosing numbers use their birthdays, which means that one or two of the numbers will be less than 32 (day of the month), and one number will be less than 13 (month). If all the numbers you choose are higher than 31 and you have a winning ticket, then those who chose numbers based on their birthdays will be eliminated. That means there are fewer people to share the prize, so you'll win more.
The amount you could win without paying tax used to be €2,500, but for 2018 that increased to €10,000, for this year it's €20,000 and for 2020 it's €40,000.
¡Buena suerte!
I have played online for many years. It's easy to set up an account and put funds into it, and you can also have a "suscripción" whereby the system automatically buys a ticket for whatever you want, on the days you want, forever and a day, or until you tell it to stop. All you have to do is ensure that there are sufficient funds in your "lotobolsa", which you can do by bank transfer or debit card. The system even reminds you when you need to put more money in. Playing online with a suscripción saves all the hassle of going to a shop and buying a ticket (maybe twice a week) and of forgetting to do so.
There are a number of different lottery games, but I have always played "La Primitiva" which is similar to the UK Lotto (before UK added ten more balls) - you pick 6 out of 49, there's a bonus ball, etc. I've also played "Euromilliones" a few times.
If you win a small prize, it gets credited to your lotobolsa. Large prizes go into your bank account.
You can have the website in English if you prefer.

Hi, no one has mentioned whether you would be eliminated if you’re not a resident.
