Hello all, I've recently taken out health insurance through Salus, fortunately I don't need to use the service yet but I've had a look at their website and cannot work out where I can go if I do need it. There's a section asking for province and there's a dropdown list so I choose Alicante, then municipality where there's no dropdown list and if I put in Monovar, Pinoso, Elda or anywhere nearby it tells me "page not found" it also asks for Doctor but I've no idea what to put there. Has anyone used this service? It's the one recommended by TFX in Pinoso so I imagine it's well used in the area.

We’re with Salus and they’ve been great ... we’ve used them quite a bit in the first year too.

If you just call the number on your card and explain what the problem is, they will tell you who you can go to see and give you a pre-authorisation.  Then just show your card when you see the GP or consultant and you pay nothing.

I was given a directory of all facilities I could use, but it’s large and unwieldy and I found it easier just to call.

Good luck :-)

Regret that I cannot recommend Salus healthcare. I have been refused treatment a couple of times and I have to say that my eye specialist left in disgust at the way that Salus was behaving. I am currently waiting to see if the Company will pay for a very necessary operation. My healthcare was with a different provider before Salus bought them out.
