Hi Everyone.

We have just moved to Pinoso, 1 week ago. The electric gates on the property have not worked since we arrived. The previous owners are adamant that they worked. Can anyone recomend a reliable english speaking (we are still learning) electrician. Thanks. James.

Hi James

Where in Pinoso are you and how 'handy' are you? There may be some basic checks you can do without incurring any costs

Hi, thanks for replying. We are on Monovar road as you get to Pinoso. I'm reasonably handy. I have tried all fuses and button on phone entry in Villa. Gatehouse had wires hanging across the door, so may have disturbed something there.

No problem James.

So have you checked that you have power at the main gate location?

Do you only have the button in the villa or do you also have a remote for the car etc? - just a process of elimination!

Let me know, sure we can sort this out :o)

Difficult to check for power as I have no tools here yet. No other electric outlets at gate. Main power comes in there, and all other electric in the villa is fine.

Have remote. Changed batteries, no luck there.

OK sounds like the problem could be local to the gate then. Are you managing to get in and out manually?

Yep, that's fine. The gates move freely and the mechanism lock with the key. Def electric prob. Motor or supply.
