Hi  Peeps,

In another life I was a very active mamber of the Round Table.  When I got chucked out under the age rule I had no desire to join 41 club.  A sort of death after life.  I have grown older now and thought about membership.  I  did join Tarbes in France when living in the Pyrennees for a while, but distance became a real issue.  130 kms each way on mountain roads in the winter for all events was not viable.

I have contacted 41 Club International and they tell me that there is not a club in Spain but they would be happy to see one inaugerated.  Therefore the question is "Are there any Ex Tablers/41 clubbers that would be interested in founding a club herein Spain.

Thanks Ray.   So  got off the ground but quickly foundred.

Candidly it was in decline in Britain when I left and that was already over 25 years ago.  It seems, to me, that people no longer want to devote time and energy to "service clubs"   The daft thing is I never saw it as a service group.  We drank a lot, we partied a lot and we organised many ways of having fun.  Some of them resulted in raising a lot of money and a lot of needy people and services profited by that.  E.g. The Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow register was kicked off by RTBI.

For me that was just a by product of us enjoying ourselves.

Thanks again for the link.  Rob C
