Hi, looking to short list some areas near Alicante to explore further with the possibility of a permanent move, can somebody please advise on a few topics please.  Is there a decent choice of bars and restaurants, shopping centre etc in the town.  Are there reliable taxis for the odd night out.  Is there a garage for servicing cars in the town or would we need to go to a larger town etc.  For dog boarding and vets where is the best place and lastly, I will be Mrs No Friends when I arrive, how can I meet people? Thank you in advance for any advice you can give me.

Hi there,

There are over 70 bars and restaurants on the Pinoso area, Spanish, Dutch, Belgian and English food is available. We also have a theatre, a culture centre and two sports centres. There is a medical centre, numerous dentists, 4 large supermarkets, fruit and vegetables shops, bakeries, butchers and a weekly market.

There are numerous garages in the area and a vet, there are many vets and garages in the surrounding towns and villages. There isn't a legal taxi service I'm afraid, anyone offering this is going to be illegal and uninsured. There are a number of Facebook groups which show a wide variety of activities and outings, the majority of people are very friendly and open

Thank you, that’s been really helpful.
