We’ve recently bought a property in Playa Flamenca, it has a satellite dish and the TV only plays German channels (we are English) is there anyway we can adjust settings on the sat dish or tv so we receive English Channel. Cheers, Joe

You will need a larger dish. A good data broadband supplier would do even better. See a specialist like Moller SAT/Clima in Torrevieja next to Iceland..

Your dish is aligned to the Astra 1 group of channels located at 19.2 east, that carry German, French, Spanish and a number of TV services from other countries also. These can be received on a dish from as small as 60cm
UK TV comes from the Astra 2 group of satellites, located at 28 east.
So firstly, your dish is aligned to the wrong satellites for UK TV.
However, as the signals for UK TV (like BBC ITV C4 Fives) on Astra 2 are much weaker than those on Astra 1, so you will also need to get a larger sized dish. At least 110x120cm, maybe a 125x135cm dish.
So no, you cannot adjust any settings on the dish or TV to get UK TV, you need to do a bit more...

Will not make a difference, as the dish is not aligned to the UK TV satellites.
Simply buying a "uk decoder" will not magically get UK TV channels if the satellite dish is not aligned to the uk tv satellites!
