Check out the website for David's Coach Trips, they offer a wide range of trips that are not expensive, with numerous pick up points, English speaking guides, well maintained coaches and excellent drivers, we have used them several times.

You haven't given the ages of your daughters but here goes with just some general ideas.

Free: beach, coastal walk, community pool, check out Zenia Boulevard entertainment diary (it's displayed in the main square).  Also sometimes at this time of year there is free entertainment down at the beach.  If your children are under 12 there is a children's play area at the top floor of the Boulevard reasonably priced.  Also one of the all-you-can-eat restaurants there has a soft play area that clients can use free.

Water park in Torrevieja is open.  Rio Safari between Elche and Santa Pola.  Crazy golf in Campoamor and a roof top mini golf in Playa Flamenca.  Go karts in Playa Flamenca but a bit pricey.  Evening fun fair in Torrevieja and also an evening market right by it and cheap parking.

Free to wander around the markets - Thursday morning Cabo Roig near the coastal path and Saturday morning a huge market in Calle Nicolas de Bussi in Playa Flamenca.  Wednesday morning there is a market in San Miguel just up the road.

Keep prices down by having lunch out rather than evening meal out or go out early evening for cheaper menu del dia offers.  Better choice of restaurants and better prices in Flamenca Beach commercial centre (bottom end of Calle Niagara) rather than at the Boulevard.

Several restaurants have entertainment.  Check out Celtic Isle in Playa Flamenca and Emerald Isle in La Florida - both have great swimming pools too - buy a drink and stay all day and enjoy their bands!  Also music most nights in a selection of bars around Villamartin Plaza or Flamenca Beach.

If you fancy a day trip then I recommend Guardelest - about 90 minutes drive but worth the time.  I think Dave's coaches do a trip there too (someone mentioned them earlier).

Pop into the Tourist Info in the Town hall (near Mercadonna supermarket).  A lot of the leaflets have money off vouchers.  They will also have details of the tourist bus that goes to Orihuela City twice a week that is reasonably priced and includes entrance into one or two places of interest.  Very historic city and worth a visit.

There's a road train that runs along the coast too.  A ticket lasts all day and you can get on and off wherever you want, unlimited.

Most importantly, whatever you do, have fun!

Hi

I am also here with an 11year old boy and an almost 14year old for 3.5 weeks and no car.

I have been here for 15years and then all their lives but I have never done excursions with companies.

I am currently looking at David's coaches , vijarosa and also dream tours. My daughter is shy but if you want to say hello and maybe hook up let me know.

I am going to take mine to the mini golf rooftop soon in Playa flamenca and also as going to book the cartegena tour I think. There is Latin dancing at la zenia beach tonight at 6pm and jolted Irish band at Caba roig Sunday's (afternoons). Also sun sea adventures do water sport so at Caba roig and I am going to let mine do paddle boarding at 15euros each. Have a nice holiday and I hope your knee improves x

My daughter has cold at the moment and monthlies so bad situation!

Hi there, thanks for getting in touch. Hope your daughter gets well soon. I am also looking at the Cartagena day trip with Davids coach trips. Also the terra natura mucia water park. We are having a walk down to playa flamenca front early evening as haven't been down yet due to my bad knee. We r based on perla del mar near the market road. Speak soon as just going to buy some more inflatables for my girls. Adele

Hi iam adjoining the market road at Playa flamenca

Calle parana

Hope you got sorted

I need to venture out as need some supermarket bits but currently have the son watching footy and the daughters on the top solarium.

Feel a bit overwhelmed with what trip to book and where.

Have been studying davids coaches, vija rosa tours and dream tours. Not so easy when they don't put all the i info such a short trip duration and travel duration

My daughter get a travel sick and dreamtours emailed back 1.45hrs to Benidorm and 2.45 to guadalest  so wont do those (don't want of do Benidorm anyway)

Have you decided yet?

I think if I can I'll book cartegena with visa Rosa as my daughter doesn't want to do the boat or train

Also that's Monday and davids is Thursday and option only says with the train

Visa rosa has called me but I've missed them.

Think we may just wander to la zenia boulevard in an hr

My Closest from Madrid has gone away a couple of days and think I'm missing the beach asnot been a few days!
