We are coming out for an inspection trip in April. Our hope is that we can escape the worst of the Scottish winter and to that end we are in Lanzarote at present. While accepting that there will be colder and wetter days in January and February we would value any reports on what it is like to live in the area during those months.
This Winter has been okay, not much rain, daytime around 15 to 18C, night time around 6 to 10C, sometimes feeling chilly at night or early morning but a coat is all that was needed.

We are spending our first winter here.
In January, most afternoons were sunny and we could sit outside in the sun. Overnight temps between 9-13 degrees.
February, a bit more mixed. Some overcast days. Some wind/rain. For about a week the overnight temps were down to 4-5 degrees, followed by bright sunny days.
In the last week or so, it has warmed up. 11 degrees overnight, sunny and warm during the day. People on the beach/in the sea on Saturday.

Further to my original post I have been reading reports of houses being cold and damp in winter due to lack of proper insulation. This does not sound pleasant for when we are there but even more of a concern when we are back at home. Viewing trip is next week so reassurance would be welcome at this stage.

Our home has a concrete frame and double block wall (inner skin/cavity/outer skin). We have had no damp/condensation.
Some homes have a single block wall construction (sometimes using clay bricks incorporating air cavities). I have been told that condensation can occur with this form of construction, but have no direct experience.
Damp-proof courses in the walls are not always incorporated in some older constructions. Ours doesn't have one (1980s build). Our surveyor told us that this was normal, and not a problem. Our house is built on a gradually sloping site, and we have not noticed any rising damp.
Our home does not have any insulation, and has tiled surfaces. It can feel cold in winter. It often feels warmer outside in the winter sunshine than inside the house.
We use a mix of log fire, electric radiators and reversible a/c units for heating. We are considering installing central heating (oil fired or propane).
Don't be put off .... it is much MUCH nicer than in the UK.

Hi
We have had our apartment two years and are at the end of a block so colder in ours than most. We were advised to leave all doors open inside apartment and put down trays of cat litter to absorb condensation and it’s worked a treat-no issues at all. We also used air conditioning on heating in jan at nights as it felt cold and electricity bill wasn’t too bad as we are on the night plan
