Hi all

I bank with Sabadell and l noticed this month they charged me €7.25  describing it

"As non/resident tax". Is this something new? I pay my annual non resident tax by completing Form 120

Should l be paying the bank as well.

Does anybody know why Sabadell are doing this or is it mandatory to all the banks.

I appreciate any advice.

Suzan

The search function on this site is not good, but this is a legal requirement in EU anti-money laundering operations, whereby every 2-5 years a bank is required to comply with the KNC (know your customer) regulations by submitting a certificate to central banks.

The banks charge you all the fees associated with this.

You can get around this by applying for this certificate yourself, and submitting it to your bank but in order to do this it usually will cost you much more to comply (if search worked, it is explained)

From yesterday. No, it's not a tax

Friday post

If the option show all unread posts in all of Costa Blanc is picked surely all these would come up straight away?
Now just waiting for next week's round when the tax people go for Santander or Caixa.
