Has anyone had problems since banco popular merged with Santander last year we have had nothing but problems. We are non residents

We filled in the forms declaring our country of residence for tax purposes (UK) and received confirmation that they had registered us in January 2020.

We keep getting letters stating we have not declared the above in spite of sending these details by registered post from UK on three occasions. They will not deal with this by phone and we are at a loss to know how to resolve this as we do not feel that we will be in Spain this year due to covid 19

Out of desperation you could try this.

Email the above, explain what has happened and that you desperately need help.

Remember to be nice, quite often these CEO's will respond.( I appreciate that this is uk Santander and is a separate business)

Good luck. Ken.

Kenbo thanks for that I emailed Nathan Bostok and his executive forwarded all of the information to the executive office in Spain and within 24hrs my branch manager contacted me by telephone  to explain the mistakes they had made during the transfer from Banco Popular to Santander, some parts of the system weren't compatible and some Data was not transferred.

He spent some hours rectifying the data and hopefully we will not have any more problems.

Once again many thanks

Trevor

Trev, result, so pleased for you as it is very frustrating when you hit a brick wall.

I know this personally, My branch of Bankia are extremely unhelpful so I emailed their CEO....Nada.

The Spanish don't know a great deal about customer service in my experience, it took an email to an English CEO to move your problem along !!
