Good afternoon,
I hope all are keeping well.
Can i ask if anybody else is having trouble transferring money to their Bankia Account.
I have been trying through TransferWise but it keeps pausing saying there is something wrong with my account.
I need to put money in for my Mortgage payment due on the 1st.
Ive been online, but cant log on my fault cant think of the password .
Any ideas would be grateful

Yes I’ve tried that, but at the end of the process it states you need to go to the Bank. Which is impossible as I’m in the Uk
I have emailed my branch with no response
Can anyone confirm if the Bankia branch in San Miguel Salanis is open

Yes I did. And put all the details in and at the end it states please go to the bank. im going to try and ring them again in the morning

This is/was the English speaking Bankia helpline 0034 916 024 643
Every 2 years the banks are obliged to verify you as non resident, in some cases accounts have been blocked if your local bank has been unable to see your passport etc, could this be the issue ?

Hello, I had the same problem yesterday with Barclays Bank. I was trying to send money to my Spanish bank account to pay the mortgage. They gave me 60 seconds to agree the rate of exchange and the time ran out while I was checking everything was correct. They asked me to retry, which I did, then they cut me off and blocked me. I tried to re-enter and was told I was blocked, so I left it until today and tried again this morning, again I was blocked. Rang the telephone number in the UK to be told there was a minimum of one hour waiting time because of the Corona Virus. I am still waiting for them to respond to my communication via Facebook.
I think they are controlling money leaving the UK as previously I had a special window specifically for sending money abroad. This has disappeared now and been replaced with the possibility of investing in an ISA.

Hi all
Still no luck in sending money to my bank
I have now tried transferring £200 via my Lloyd’s Bank account to Bankia, five days so far it’s been taken from my account but hasn’t landed in the Bankia Account. I tried calling Lloyd’s but there’s an automated message saying that they cannot take the call
It’s also impossible to get through to Bankia
I’m stumped!!!
