Hi folks,

Anyone know what’s going on with Avatel who have just taken over from tv Horadada/ teleast?

They don’t seem to be responding to customer concerns etc. Have sent several Emails, texts phone calls, been down to their offices in the Boulevard etc etc.

Their tech support number just keeps chucking out MUZAK.

Been without TV now since Easter, Antenna knocked out in the storms I fancy as screen is just showing NO SIGNAL!

Anyway of fastracking these guys down? Bloody rude on the phone I know that much!

And they are so rude! Went in there again yesterday and They told me(their customer!) that I have to go away and phone their Technical support! Informed the Madam who was on duty I’d already done that but she was insistent I do it again!! Would not do it for me! How’s that for customer service.Whole things been a farce!

I finally did get through to someone who was more sympathetic and apparently one of their engineers will be in touch shortly. I won’t hold my breath cos was told that previously. Thinking of sacking em off when my present deal runs out.

We had exactly the same experience over Christmas (continual shoulder shrugs from the staff each visit "we cannot phone engineers from here - you have to!") When they finally did come (a week later, after Christmas, it took ten minutes to fix- they had jointed on to old aerial cable (badly) so rain infiltration caused lack of connection.

 Although we are now able to opt out of our contract which is for fibre optic and tv don't think we have any option but to stay with them if we want to keep fibre optic internet😠

Service guy just left, took him 20 mins to get TV re-instated! Told him the staff in the Shop in the Boulevard need a rocket up their rear end! He totally agreed! Said if they get in touch with me I can usually be with customer within 24 hours although the Easter Storms had caused a backlog which I fully understand.

What the hell is their problem in that place in the Boulevard? Avatel management need to get on the case and sort em out.

Anyway after the biggest ball ache ever I have TV! Yippee!

Hope I never have to darken their doors ever again!

Not on Fibre optic no,hence the probs that occur when there’s a storm down here! Think the service guy said it knocks out the LMB or something?

Thing is for the TV I’m on a pretty good deal so loathe to change just now and I watch most tv and catch up on my large screen iPad via internet anyway.Tv is really only there for visitors etc.Anyway all fixed now but what a ballache to achieve it!

Hate going in that Avatel shop in the Boulevard,always seem to have issues with em and they move at the pace of a snail! Need a rocket up their arse!

The whole company needs a rocket up the backside.  They are the most unhelpful, rude, ignorant and slow to respond company I have come across. If you have a fault with there equipment it takes forever to get it fixed, that's if you can report it over the telephone. They keep you hanging on then cut you off before answering.

After contacting them several times by phone, email and queuing for hours at Zenia Boulevard the tv works but I have threatened to sue them for the return of my subscription and compensation for the considerable amount of time I have spent. 

I have had the problem with the tv since january and it has just been resolved.

I am not holding out much hope of getting any money back

Try the number in Madrid ,might help, that’s their head office, the no in the Boulevard is a Nono!
