I have a holiday home near to la zenia boulevard and want to get my smart tv to work  ie Netflix and Prime , but the signal from my uk phone using a hotspot is pretty poor.  i wanted to get a wireless dongle /router  that will work from a local network and  possibly just buy sim data cards when i am in spain . Any advice or help is appreciated.

You could buy a dongle / router for use with a Spanish sim but if its one that works with 5g these are expensive, you will be far cheaper using a 5g phone, either your own or a cheap one bought here then pop the Spanish sim in, pick up a second hand one of UK marketplace for £70 or so.

5g routers (which i use) start from £160 upwards,

4g may well be fast enough assuming a good signal and you can pick those up for £40 upwards.

Just go to Amazon and search for either 4g or 5g router, either will accept a Spanish sim, problem is knowing which Spanish network gives the best signal in the area it will be used.

Should also have mentioned you can get switch on switch off internet around PF ie you only pay for it when your using it, i think there is a setup fee etc, sure someone else can advise best company/prices and expected internet speed.

For the Spanish SIM I use these guys with a massive 140 GB per month and it works in the UK, renewable at 35 euros per month. You could even stream as it’s fast 5g. The SIM is movistar

Hi

I know nothing about dongles, but I do know that parts of Playa Flamenca have very poor phone reception - I live close to market street and can't even get a 4G connection, never mind 5G!

Cheers

Steve

If the signal is available, I've not been anywhere it isn't, I'd like to see someone beat these prices

Unlimited Internet and calls for €12.90 per month. Prepay or contract.

I've been using them for a couple of years with no problems.
