The new iOS 13.7 update for Apple includes a coronavirus notification section.

After you have done the Apple update, select “settings”, then scroll down to exposure notifications (its in the same section where “general” and “control centre” is)

Select exposure notifications

Select your country

Then you have the option to turn on exposure notifications or turn off exposure notifications.

You do not have to have this notification active if you don’t want to, the Apple update iOS 13.7 includes this as a new feature for anyone who wants to use it.

Nicola.

Hi Peter. Yes I’m sure there will be, I can only speak about Apple as I don’t have android. You could do a quick guide on android to show others if you find it. That would be helpful to people too. Nicola.

Brilliant, that will help the people that have android phones. Can you opt out of it like Apple if you don’t want to be involved in it? If people ask I won’t know. Nicola.

Yes, in Android Settings ... Google ... you can turn it on or off.

It's deactivated anyway if bluetooth is turned off.

I think it’s certainly very similar in the way that it knows where you are via your iPhones gps. It has the ability to detect in the same way as the other app that the government are encouraging people to download. I’ve had the apple one on all day and it hasn’t affected my battery life at all.

I’m back in the UK, I’ve downloaded it but waiting for local public health authority to turn the notification programme on!

I don’t know why there are always glitches with everything I really don’t. 🤦🏻‍♀️
