Hi, Just wondered how everyone is coping wearing masks in the heat. We are due over next week and not sure whether to cancel. We usually walk and bike for miles but understand that masks are now compulsory and not sure if we will be able to do this in the heat.

It's blooming horrible wearing them and last week was really hot where I am.
It's something that we all are getting used to and I'm sure you will too.
I also know a lot of people are staying indoors more than normally in my area. I can't speak for other areas.
It's not the nicest thing when your walking and sweat is all over your face and your mask gets wet through.
Make sure you have a good supply because you will need to change them quite often. I think every 4 hours or so.
I have a lovely collection which can be put in the washing machine and used again.
It's your decision!!!!
Sue 😘
Kbarnish, a bit of good news for you is masks are not compulsory if practising sports in the open air. I believe cycling falls within that exemption category,

I thought that. RayD reported "no" although the many cyclists round here, certainly do not wear the masks whilst sports cycling . V
This post that was quoted has been deleted.
RayD , Thank You, I was not aware of that , and if so then I would not advise cycling outdoor, without a mask.
Like others, I do, however,, see many many cyclists not wearing masks .

I couldn't find the resource I was looking for, but this government website at 11th August includes in the exceptions:
actividades en las que resulte incompatible el uso de la mascarilla (activities in which the use of the mask is incompatible):

If you are traveling to the coast now, please know that we have had a significant drop in temperatures this weekend, almost chilly now in the evening and the pressing humidity is no longer. Lovely here now 😊

I am in my late 70s and do not have an issue with the wearing of masks, except to say that I wish that those who do not would re-think their actions or, should I say, non-actions. It is in the interests of us all to comply with current legislation.

Agreed, too many idiots are wearing them under their chin or on their arm as a fashion accessory.

concur, a good method to capture (any) virus, before popping on one´s breathing apparatus & inhaling for minutes/hours afterwards.
