Now we have beautiful weather, the mozzies are starting to snack on me. It made me wonder if they can carry the virus. Nobody has told them about social distancing or lockdown! Help!
If we know just one thing about the virus then surely it has to be it's means of transmission which is by droplets expelled by victims coughing and sneezing which can be carried short distances in the air - hence the importance of social distancing and hand washing.
There has been no suggestion, let alone any evidence, that it's transmissable through a victims blood which is how it would have to be for transmission by mosquito bite.
Wandering into the realm of wild speculation I suppose it might just be conceivable for an infected person to cough or sneeze on a mosquito and then another person almost immediately accidentally inhale it but I'll leave you to work out the odds on that one!

Thank you Movingon. I have Googled the question to make sure, and apparently Covid is the same as SARS in that mosquitos can’t be infected, so therefore we are all safe. I will still kill them if I get a chance though. 😂
