Hello All,

Could someone clarify a niggling little question for me. In the Withdrawal agreement, does it state somewhere that dependants ( beneficiaries), have protection to stay in Spain if they were here before December 2020, if they have a parent who is a Resident please, not sure if I have this right or not.

Many thanks Jean

Hi. My advice is to see a solicitor quickly as your dependant has to have residencia also in order to stay in Spain permanently. (This will only apply if the dependant was living in Spain prior to December 30th, 2020. Paul

Hi Jean,

Yes, if you gained residency under the protection of the Withdrawal Agreement, one of the rights you have is "family reunification".  This refers to close family members, e.g. a spouse, dependent children or grandchildren, or dependent parents or grandparents. It doesn´t cover family members such as sisters or cousins.

Kind regards,

Kim

Oh many thanks, it's for my daughter, not dependent age, but still my daughter.

Thanks for replying Jean
