I am hoping someone will be able to help me with advice regarding our flights with Jet2 from N.Ireland to Alicante on September 5th and returning on October 3rd. Due to our age and following all regulations due to Covid and government advice not to travel we have reluctantly decided to remain at home. We are not very happy but stay at home it is.

I am still booked for the flights. Can anyone offer any advice as how to approach Jet2 for a refund and what are my chances.

Many thanks

Dav

Sadly I fully understand your position, however if the flight is operating you would not be able to get a refund, if you contact Jet2 you may be able to get a voucher for future travel where your booking is transferred, Good luck, stay safe.

Many thanks John, it looks like I grab the bull by the horns and hope for the best.

Hi John, if you booked your flight pre Covid outbreak it might be worth checking with your travel insurance company if you could claim through them. Hope you manage to get something back.

Thanks to everyone who replied to my post. Last Monday Jet2 emailed saying that my flights had now been cancelled and offered either a credit note or full monetary refund. If I wanted a full monetary refund they asked that I do not contact them due to call volumes and they will work through the refunds. On Friday they emailed again showing a breakdown of the costs and that the refund is on its way. Will check tomorrow.

I always fly Jet2 and love them even more now.........but I am having terrible Playa Flamenca withdrawal symptoms. Again thanks everyone and stay safe.
