Hi All

I feel a bit of fool here in asking for advice, as my gardening knowledge is very limited, and something I should have addressed many years ago! Having lived in a U.K first floor apartment for many years, I haven't had a need to tend to any gardens, plants etc, but we now have a nice holiday home in Playa Flamenca with a bare terrace snd outdoor area that needs some sprucing up with colourful plants etc...

Can anybody advise on any plants need little care, as the home will be vacant for 46 weeks every year? I am looking into installing an irrigation system which would automatically water the plants on a daily/twice daily basis, but wary of this failing when we are not at the property? Ideally, any hard wearing plsnts or flowers based in pots would be the best option, but don't want them dying through lack of attention!

Finally, are there any decent, good value garden centres or smalll businesses in the Playa Flamenca area that have a good range of plants and flowers for sale?

Thanks in advance to any green fingered advice!!

Palms & Succulents should survive in outdoor pots - with minimal care  - place an Advert on this Site for plant cuttings or establish plants - also there is a new large store next to the Haberneras which sells large potted plants at a reasonable price - or try the Friday Torrevieja market
