Areas to spend winter
Hi I am new to the forum and would like information on the best areas to spend two or three months over the winter. Would like it to be still fairly busy with restaurants and bars open. Thanks

Villamartin is always busy. We don't come though during the winter, it's too cold for us.
Spanish houses are not built for winter. So make sure the properties you look at have means to heat the house effectively Otherwise it will be a miserable 2 months

Hi things do quieten down in the winter but a great place to be. Sunshine for about six hours a day. Rent a south facing house, with the low sun blazing through your windows, keeps my house warm at night.

Thanks for that information we are used to spending winter in Tenerife but thought we would have a change although we know it wouldn't be as warm.

It is normally warm until 5pm then you need to wrap up. La Florida is still busy in the winter. We were sat on the beach in Jan it was 18 degrees.

We have just bought a house in Playa Flamenca purely because there is everything still open in winter, especially La Zenia Boulevard, so I can go shopping if the weather is bad!

Thanks for that, we are renting a property in the Playa Flamenca/La Zenia
area in September so will have a good look round then.
