You've not said if you would prefer a log fire or a pellet burner, but look at these:
Bear in mind that if you pay for quality then you can expect many years of good performance. Mine is 40 years old and still going strong.Posted: Fri Nov 21, 2025 9:16am

We have a wood burner (log) in the UK that is just over 20 years old. Changed the rope seals once, replaced a cracked glass in the door and resealed around the chimney, otherwise fine.
Personally if I was buying today I would probably go for a pellet burner, cleaner, more controllable and less work to get going.
There is a lot of bad press in the UK about log burners, mostly related to emissions from stoves using poor quality wood. I would not be surprised if there is not a ban in certain areas. I don't know if the same situation exists in areas of Spain.
Rgds,
Aitch.

Hi,
We bought our log burner off Budget Burners 3 years ago and found them helpful with good quality burners :-)
They are based in San Fulgecio

What do you think pellets are made of!
Pellet burners certainly have their place, but there's a lot more to go wrong, and if there's a power cut then you'd need to pile on the fleeces.

Unless you pay for a really good quality wood burner and ensure you only use seasoned wood it could be detrimental to your health (and everybody else's) due to fine particle emissions. Please do your own research before buying one, there are a lot of articles online and then you can make a considered choice.

Hi, to answer your question directly , Brico Depot are cheap and tend to be used by the trade . They also stock all the items required to fit the stove.
